I think he is OT. I don't think he can quite handle 5 hours A time. So I would seriously give the short am nap a go.

I think it is a good idea to probably wake him most days, like you are going to for church today so that you can try to fit in two naps.

ok, an update.

I sorted his regression on Sunday night during his NW. It went well for few days then i think the regression kicks in again last night. We're in transition 2-1nap. Most days he does 2naps, He does when he naps more than 1.5hrs n refuse the 2nd nap @ approx 5pm.

He did N/W n E/W last night. I wonder what caused it. He did 2naps yesterday,1st nap for 50mnts then 2nd for 45mnts.
Awake: 815
Nap: 1210
Awake: 1pm
Nap: 420
Awake: 5.05pm
Sleep: 830pm

Is this OT?
when he NW, i went back in n asked him to lie down n sleep. The 2nd NW, it was harder n it took abt 20mnts.

Also for sleep training - this is still on going...
our WD involves BF n I usually put him down while he's awake but sleepy / drowsy stage. He'll fuss a little n I usually leave the room. Then he'll cry n whine for a while until it a true crying start. I go in the room n stay with him till he asleep.

My question is
Am i on the right track to train him independently? It seems that he needs me physically be there. When I go into the room, he'll lie down n fuss a little n will check on me few times before dozing off to sleep.

how long is the A time when it is 1nap? 4.5hrs or 5hrs? In average, what age can they hv 5hrs Atime?

Thanks so much for ur replies

I think he is a bit young to be on one nap, and less than 2h total sleep during the day will probably make him OT.

If he needs you to be in the room while he falls asleep then that is a prop, although it's not a huge one, iykwim!  When you are ready, you will probably want to think about GW, when you move further away from him as he falls asleep until you are out of the room.
