Hey there hun, we get about 2-4 poops here as well, you might want to check with your pedi if you have any concerns though :)

I agree with Chicane that he might have been OT day2 may have been OT from day1, so I'm assuming he was up @ 08.45 today & went down @ 11, that's a total of 02.15 A time, which is a little low for his age, but since he's given you a good nap, might be that he was OT & was catching up on lost sleep.

So let's try & follow his cues today, staying @ ard 3 hrs & see how things go. I also agree about the DF, we also dropped it @ around this age, although we kept getting one NW for food, but ds is bf-ed & I know formula fed babies can male it through the night better that bf-ed.

Keep us posted about how things go :-*

Just saw your post, OT : Overtired, NW: Nightwaking :)

Tearss...I think for anything after 4 months Tracy's book Baby Whisperer Solves All Your Problems is much more useful...don't feel like you have to get it though...there is lots of info here and lots of advice. It took me a while to get used to the acronyms too so don't hesitate to ask that they stand for. x

Hi Yazzie, sorry i missed out for DAY 2 Sleep: 3.15-4.30. So it shd read:
btw, the activity time counted as 2-2.5hr - shd we start counting from the time he is awake OR the time after feed?

Day 2 on EASY routine
E: 6am 170ml
A: 7.40am 2tbsp rice cereal
S:8.30-9.30am (total awake / activity time was from 6am-8.30am -- is still short? coz it's abt 2.5hrs)
E:10am 160ml formula
A: 10.15-12 - play
S: 12-12.30pm
E: 2pm 160ml formula
A: 2.15-3pm
S: 3.15 -4.30
A: 5pm Biscotti with water
E: 6.30 90ml Forumla + 1.5tbsp cereal
(wash up and prep for bed)
S: 7pm -10pm
E: 10pm 160ml forumla and went back to sleep
(3.30am woke up for milk. Resist to sleep and was talking in the cot till 4.30 even with pacifier. 5am whines again. Sounded like wanted some comfort so I try to carry and pat him. After putting down and pat him for a while....10mins later he whined again..this process go thru till about 6.30am. Then he finally rested for another 30-45mins before waking up. He was not fed till 8.45am as i was too tired to even notice that he was talking to himself in bed at 7.30am)

Day 3(Yesterday morning)
E:8.45am: 40ml milk + 2tbsp rice cereal + 60ml milk with biscotti.
(i have prepared 90ml of milk but he only took 40ml so I have to mixed to milk into the rice ceral and with biscotti. He has a bad habit of drinking milk from 7am-9am. Even i try to feed him at 7am despite his last feed is at 3am. Maybe it has been conditioned in him that's the activity period).
S: 11pm-till 1.30pm
E: 1.30pm --- 120ml milk + 30ml milk with biscotti as he doesn't want to drink from his bottle anymore
A: 2pm-3pm
S:3pm-4pm
A:4pm-5.30pm
E:5.30pm -only wants to take in 100ml
S: 5.45-6pm ( in the car)
A:6-730pm
S:730pm-8pm(in the car)
wash up @ 830pm n wind down
930pm - drink 160ml.
S: 1030pm.
(3am woke up and i gave him pacifier and went back to sleep. 5.45am woke up and i fed him 180ml this morning. then went back to sleep till 8am. )

btw, he is now learning to cruise on the floor mat..at times he is able to push himself up from the mat. Also he loves to chew his fingers and the plastic spoon during feeding. Is it because he is moving on to another growth stage that's why?

A time is from eyes open to eyes shut, i.e. from the moment your lo wakes up, till they go back to sleep :)...about the chewing, from my experience, its related to teething, so the chewing provides comfort, you may want to offer a teether or something, but to be honest, my ds couldn't care more for a teether, he chews on anything other than teethers..!!!!!

Looking @ your routine, I would recommend trying to have a 12hr day, so if your lo is up @ 08.00AM, you'd target to have him asleep again @ 08.00PM. So, if you do that you'd be aiming for 2 long naps & one CN, here are a few sample routines to give you ideas:

2.15 A time, seemed to give you good naps, so why not stick with that for a few days & see?

HTH :)
