3 am wake up's
« on: May 19, 2010, 14:30:21 pm »
Hi there i need some advise. My twin boys are 10 months old. They are on 2 naps a day and have their first 2 teeth. Sleep was going well with usually 1 waking at night looking for a pacifier. For the past couple of weeks griffin has been waking up at 5 am each morning screaming for food. Now we are in a situation where Liam wakes up around 3-4 am is not satisfied with the pacifier we do 20-30 min of PU/PD with him and he still doesn't settle. Then his screaming wakes his brother up and they both don't settle finally i give them both a bottle of formula 200ml that they finish. They go back to bed and then wake up at 6, and are not so hungry when they get offered their bottles.
A typical day is as follows:

A- wake up at 5 or 5.30
E-6.00 200-250 ml formula as soon as they are awake
E-7.00 breakfast cereal with yogurt and fruit
S-8.30 nap for 45 min-1 hour around 8.30
A-9.30 wake up
E-10.00 left over formula or tea 100-150ml with finger food

E-12.00 lunch vegetables, some meat
S-12.30 nap for 1-1 and a half hours
E-14.00 200ml formula
E-15.30 tea or left over milk with finger food
E-17.00 supper cereal with yogurt and fruit
A-17.30 bath time
S-18.00-18.30 in bed and asleep by 18.30

I don't know if the 3-4am wakings are related to hunger? Don't know how to change the early wakings as well. Please advise. Ru

Yes their last A time is long, they started fighting to not take their catnap around 4 for about 4 weeks now and just refused to go down, so i dropped it. Will try to extent their first nap. Thanks
