New to E.A.S.Y

Hey all, just started easy today. Already noticed a diff. My boy is 7 weeks old and a angel baby. I use to hold him to  sleep. When i put Asher in bed he is calm but starts crying. I leave him for 10mins then come in and pat and ssshh. Is that ok? Will he learn to sleep by himself? Any tips?

Hey Peachy - welcome to the forum and congrats on your LO.

First up have you got a copy of Tracy's book? You may find it very handy to read through and have in the house.

Second, have you developed a wind down ritual? Have a look at this link http://babywhispererforums.com/index.php?topic=64277.0

And see here for info in using shh/pat on babies under 3 months http://babywhispererforums.com/index.php?topic=26672.0

Personally, I would not be leaving him to cry for 10 mins as that is a long time for a little baby. I think you are starting from a good place and that he will learn to fall asleep on his own really quickly.

Finally, I think your issues is that you have been using a prop to get him to sleep. If you find that the links I have given you don't quite give you the help you need let me know and I will move your post over to the props board.

hugs xxx
