Not BW prob but my comp prob, pls help?
« on: June 10, 2010, 17:27:40 pm »
We recently bought a new computer -windows 7 and have Internet exp, even though I love Firefox haven't got around to downloading it yet. So...., my bookmarks etc...are all there, am not really a fan, but never the less am using Exp at the mo. So yesterday N was using the comp and when he exited out in a hurry due to the fact his friends came calling on him, I'm not sure what he did but my Exp will not open properly.  It is down at desk top and you can see my homepage (BW ) in the little mini screen but when you click to bring it up, it is like it goes off to the far right of screen out of view.    Have tried figuring it out and it is bothering me, Dh is like who cares we have google chrome (am using now) and then we will download firefox.  But I am like.....

Thanks!

A x

not sure if this will help but worth a try :)

solution for moving application windows that have somehow ended up off-screen back to the middle of a monitor where you can see it.
1.Alt-tab to get the offending application as the active application in windows
2.Go to the taskbar and right click on the application and choose ‘Move’
3.You cursor will now changes shape to one with arrows at each corner.  Now just use your arrow keys to move the hidden app to where you can see it, and the problem is solved!
With some applications there isn’t a Move option in Windows.   Don’t worry, because for these applications just do 1, but use ‘ALT+SPACE+M’ to activate Windows Move option.

No I did that before, it is on my screen bottom left as it usually is and it comes up mini screens, but it goes flying off or does not open as full page, it doesn't move with arrow cursors as it is there, does that make sense.

On a related note, look at a plugin called xmarks. It synchronises your bookmarks between any browser you have it installed in. Firefox, IE, Chrome, Safari.

It's great, I love it!
