How do your LO's take their smoothie, will they drink it in a sippy?
The tweaking never stops!

Straight out of the glass - DD has been sharing her Daddy's glass for so long I can't remember when she started!

You know Berni, you have got me thinking... I am going to start offering DS smoothies. I know he will cry when I turn on the blender, but oh well. I have loads of frozen bananas in the freezer, and yogurt, and berries... I think he will like it.

Today Nathan ate...
B: omelette with onions, mushrooms, red pepper, mozarella, and fresh basil and thyme from our garden, with toast
S: bit of my orange, a lot of raisins
L: roast beef chunks, cheddar chunks, and rice cake (ate all the rice cake, but just picked a bit at the rest)
S: dried blueberries, cherries, and cranberries with a bunch of goldfish crackers
D: burger patty, cheese, and curry pasta salad... ate the noodles but none of the veggies

Today went like this:

Breakfast: Bagel w/cream cheese, yogurt
Lunch: Cheese and meatball chunks, corn and green beans. 1/2 a peach
Snack: Cereal bar and gerber wheels (she didn't touch these)
Dinner: Broccoli pancake, some blueberry pancakes and grapes.

So I was told by my husband that I was a little too obsessed over what dd eats and I just need to let her eat.......not sure I can do this though :(

I know he will cry when I turn on the blender

Amy, Ben's fine so long as he can turn it on and off - might help!

So - today...

B - scrambled egg with marmite and grated cheddar in (shocked that you don't add marmite, Tom - it's an age old tradition here - well, at least in my family!), toast and jam, about 1/3 banana.
S/L - fruit puree pouch, humzinger, few organix snacks
after nap S/L - salami and cheese
D - Toad in the Hole, mash, carrots, sweetcorn and broccoli (carefully picked all broccoli off his plate but did eat the corn which is a first); banana and custard

Weird thing about his eating at the mo is that he'll eat a bigish breakfast very little of substance during the day and then be whining for his dinner and eat a huge dinner.  I wouldn't mind really, but I'm not sure he should be having a big meal so close to bedtime AND then 7oz of milk!!

Brennasmommy: I wouldn't worry about it. My DH thinks the same sometimes. It is just good practice to keep track a bit, because if you are low on something one day you can make up for it the next. Plus, you can keep on top of any possible allergic reactions that develop.

Speaking of allergic reactions, Nathan has a wicked bum rash again. Stupid Amy... I shared my orange with him because he wanted it so bad. It was only one segment, but it was too much. He is obviously either allergic to citrus or is just very sensitive to the acid. Arg. I told DH... no more citrus until he is 15 years old!

B: scrambled eggs, sausage, english muffin with jam, hashbrowns
S: toddler cereal bar
L: curry pasta salad with lots of veggies (onions, red pepper, peas, and corn)
S: dried blueberries, cranberries, and cherries (he lept signing "more"; it was so cute!) and goldfish crackers
D: Thai food - out for dinner... bits of food (veggies, rice, and meat) from both DH's and my plate, as well as a banana strawberry smoothie I ordered him... he loved that!

Sorry about the sore bum Amy! I LOVE that Nathan's such an adventurous eater though.

Today was:

L: 2 sneaky chef meatballs, lots of blueberries
S: yogurt, roasted chickpeas
D: sweet potato fries, chicken marsala, animal crackers

Karen, I am happy too! I hate it when he refuses food, and I think it shows. He does like to please me, most of the time.

Did I miss the recipe for roated chickpeas somewhere? We eat them all the time, and I would love to try these!

So I was told by my husband that I was a little too obsessed over what dd eats and I just need to let her eat.......not sure I can do this though

I get told this all the time by everyone in my family, including DH.....If i left it to him they would be eating lollies, macdonalds and hot chips all day :( yuck.....
I like being in control of what the kids eat here (for now) but hopefully by the time they are old enough to be in control they make the nice healthy decisions i have started them off with!
