How do I figure out when his mornings start?
« on: June 21, 2010, 16:58:45 pm »
Hi, I'm struggling with establishing an EASY routine because I am never certain when my 2 month old wakes up in the morning.  Sometimes, it seems like he has been up for a while by the time I go to look at him.  So some days I go in to feed him at 4:30 or 5:00 am and he goes back down to sleep immediately and wakes up at 7:00 am.  Some days, after I feed him, I put him back in the crib and he fusses for a bit then quiets.  I then go to look at him 20 minutes later and he is wide awake.  This makes it impossible to calculate an A time and the whole day is a big struggle with an OT baby and nap times that are too late.  I really need help and advice because I just can't figure out how to work on his mornings.   I think this has been the root of many of my problems since he was just a few weeks old.

hey sweetie,
 Congratulations on your baby boy!

Have you seen this link: http://babywhispererforums.com/index.php?topic=85130.0 It may help you sort out his days and nights out. He's still really itty so I can understand how A times are really hard to sort out.
Have you seen any sample routines to help you sort out what to do? Perhaps seeing someone else's 2 month old routine will help:

*hugs* Hope this helps a bit. I'm a bit rubbish with really young babies as my lo started getting reflux really bad at 2 months and naps were always 45 minutes!

Hmm...would a video monitor be helpful in this situation? That way you may be able to see what's happening, they are expensive new but there are a heap of them on ebay. I think its lovely though that he's happy to chill in his crib, just hanging out.
