that's GREAT progress!  :)  I would say no staying with him, otherwise you might create another prop.  Regarding boosting food intake, fat and protein fill up better with more calories than just carbs.

what happened with the NWs then?  since you couldn't offer milk anyway?  Wishing you a very good sleep night :D

So is he sleeping better once you changed his bed? I know that once we changed my dd bed it made a huge difference. She slept much better. Both my dh and I could not believe it.

Unfortunately, you need to break the habit of giving him bottles at night. After a few nights of this, he will start eating during the day. I used to give my dd a sippy cup of milk and kept reducing it over time.

As far as food is concerned. I have a very limited menu but I try to make it work with her. I never give up introducing new foods to her. She surprised me the other night when she tried my pad thai dish. She ate shrimp. I could not believe my eyes. I almost cried. I noticed that my dd loves what experts call beige food.  My dd loves all kinds of pasta. No sauce. She eats chicken nuggets. She loves sandwiches. I make her grill cheese sandwiches with a hidden veggie inside. ex:sweet potato. I make her egg salad sandwiches. I give her yogurt and cheese sticks. I water down her juice. I give her half water and half juice. I limit her juice carton intake. I buy the bigger bottles of juice. I try to limit the sugar. But it is in everything.  ::)

Sending you some good vibes and ((((( HUGS ))))))

well I am pleased to say that last night didnt go as bad as i was expecting it to go!

he did fall asleep later the usual about 9pm after he did cry a little in his bed but nothing major as he used to do that on the odd occassion in the cot aswell!

Being OT he woke an hour after he fell asleep and i just layed him back down, turned on his aquarium and gave him a little pat on the bum abd he went back to sleep!

He didnt wake until 5.30am which totally amazed me, he asked for milk in a bottle and I said no, bottles are all gone remember, so he whinged and whined for about half and hour but fell back to sleep and didnt wake until 8.20am. I was SHOCKED! :) and very pleased!

He didnt have a nap yesterday afternoon so he desperately needed one today, we had a toy library play morning and i bought him home earlier and it took about half an hour for him to fall asleep, he cried off and on but he didnt once get out of his new bed. He eventually fell asleep and is still napping now! :) Needed a catch up i think. i dont think he was crying because of the bed or because he didnt have a bottle, i think he was just very OT!

He seems to be doing well without the bottles, although he has a sippy with milk in it, he isnt really drinking it, he takes a little sip here and there. So we have made progress! I'm feeling abit happier now!
Thanks so much xxxx

That's AWESOME  ;D ;D ;D

I know is sounds crazy that a BBB helped but I swear a BGB helped my dd. My dh and I were in total shock at how well she slept. It does make a huge difference.

Thanks so much everyone for all the help and support...

last night was even better, he hasnt asked once for a bottle, he took 15 minutes to fall asleep without one tear, he just layed there and talked to himself and fell asleep and didnt wake at ALL til 5am when he came into our room and climbed in with us and went straight back to sleep until 7.30am this morning.....I am shocked it has been so easy and how much the BBB has worked for us......I'm so proud of him, (oh and myself) for doing so well!

I did have an amazing sleep last night, I forgot what it was actually like to sleep at night......

He went down really easy this afternoon for his nap too but he woke after 35 minutes, he is laying in there just whining on and off so i'll leave him and hope he falls back to sleep.

From the time he was a newborn we have always closed the door of his bedroom but since having the BBB he doesnt want the door closed for some reason...I closed it this afternoon after he had fallen asleep, maybe he woke and realised it was closed and got upset! Best leave it open from now on!

great!!!  it's amazing!! :)  just wondering if you want to stop him coming to your bed right now before another prop gets established.  But then it's too tempting to just leave it as you all get more sleep that way.

hugssss :) :*

I was thinking the same thing, I thought if he came in to early then i wouldnt have let him but since it was 5am and DH had to get up at 5.30am for work it was easier to let him in!

i wouldnt let him come in before 5am though, I know he doesnt know the time but i'll stick to this for awhile why we are on a good run!

Some ladies have found that a light or fairy lights on a timer have helped their lo know when it's ok to get up - I wonder if this might help your lo not get confused about when it's ok to come into your bed?

We have a Dora lamp that we keep lite all night long. It just makes her room not feel so scary at night...We have always kept her door closed, so she doesn't know any different. We actually come to her when she wakes up. She always wakes up talking to her dolls.

I would try not to create another habit of him coming to your bed. If you want it to stop then you need to walk him back. But if it is not bothering you then just ride it out. These are all phases that eventually get dropped on their own. I say enjoy it while it lasts because they do grow up fast.
