I managed to succesfully dream med last night and it was the first night in ages that DD slept through, well til just before 6am this morning :)
We gave her meds before bedtime then I heard her moaning in the night so I went in and just put the syringe in her mouth and she swallowed it all and went back to sleep.
I have tried to do this previously but it woke her up. So I'm not sure if that was just a fluke last night.
I haven't been doing dream meds until now as when it was molars, she went straight back to sleep after meds. It's only been since the canines that we get the loooooonnng NWs!

I don't like giving her meds for so long either (it's been a good couple of weeks now) but nothing else seems to work at the moment!

OK, I don't know why but it really comforts me to know that someone else is having the looooooooong NWs! Last night it was over an hour he was awake and the night before it was over 2 hours. I was a prisoner in his room, either he would want me to hold him when he woke, or he would toss and turn and check every minute or so to make sure that I was still in the room. Either way, he would fall asleep for just a few minutes but wake at the slightest sound or for no reason. THis is a new thing for him and I was worried it was due to something else! It doesn't seem to matter his nap length, we still get the NWs, must be due to discomfort!

I am going to try dream meds tonight.

I feel like such a bad mommy right now: APing him to get longer naps, medicating all the time, alllllllllll he wants are bottles, and TV is on a lot because it pacifies him :(

Don't worry!
I felt the same when you told me about the vomit!
I was like, oh phew, it's kinda normal :)

And....
We've had the TV on for the last two days as she was home instead of at nursery and she just wanted to veg out. Even after a 3 hr(!!!) nap, she was yawning and not wanting to do anything except sit in front of the TV so I got her duvet from her cot and let her sit there with that (was just thinking how much I like to curl up in front of TV all comfy when not feeling great :) )
Today we went to nursery but she really cried when I left - normally she runs off without looking back so I think it's SA.

And all she wants is her dummy / pacifier which I don't like to give her when it's not sleep time but I think the sucking helps the pain so I've been letting her have it when she asks / looks for it.

Good luck with dream meds tonight :)

Dad and I are trying to get as many early nights in as possible so we can handle the NWs.
Although he keeps saying to me, let's put her to bed later, then she won't wake up - how do I get him to realise that this WON'T WORK???? LOL...

this morning he had a temperature and was grinding his teeth, hes just miserable!!! I looked in his mouth and they havent cut through yet! still just the one that has cut and the others are just bulging.

This....is...a.......nightmare.

Sending hugs out to you all!
we are going through a period of calm. 2 canines through so far - one of them only just. Nightimes are ok at the moment - daytimes often angry and clingy. So we wait........; )

We also gave a bottle the other night out of desperation after a really long NW. Naps have been good lately, but these long NWs around 12am are killer.

I hear that about angry and clingy! Yesterday he had his first "true" temper tantrum. I had to take him inside as it started raining, in the middle of his fun. He was bucking and screaming to get out of my arms. When we got inside, he was rolling around on the floor trying to knock stuff over, hitting the door to go outside! So unlike him. I understand it must be so frustrating for them right now :/

Last night was only 45minute NW, down from 2hours and 1hr.

We are currently going through a phase of STTN and lots of NWs so it's a mixed bag.

Reading some other posts and it seems like we can expect this for a good couple of months or so :( :( :(
We don't even have any of the canines cutting through yet!

At least I'm kind of knowing what to expect!!!! LOL

We have also had a mixed bag, although it is getting better, one canine is a little white bud, but hasnt cut through yet. The others have. The NWs are getting shorter and less frequent. On days that he has been exhausted, he is even back to STTN!!

I would say, we went through a pretty rough 2 weeks, but he seems to be normalizing a little now, but I am afraid to even type that. He definitalyl went through a bout of SA.

Yeh we have SA too. She is definitely a LOT more clingy than usual...
Usually she runs off when I drop her off at nursery, doesn't look back. Not this week... although I don't think it helps that her carer left and she has a new one so there's that to get used to as well.
And she asks for me a lot more too. Even when dad is cuddling her, she will look for me.
