Can't access PM?
« on: July 20, 2010, 05:56:45 am »
I logged in for the first time in a few weeks today. I got a notice I had a PM, but can't seem to access it, when I click "my messages" I just get a blank page.

There's a solution for this issue here: http://babywhispererforums.com/index.php?topic=128854.0

Deleting message over 365 days should clear the problem.  There was a pm from Andy years back that went "rogue" and caused all sorts of problems to pm boxes, the way to fix it is to delete the message by pruning your inbox.  If you have pm's that you would prefer to keep then let me know, and I will see if I can delete the message at the database level - which is not guaranteed to work.

Okay well that worked, but it didn't let me read the message I'd been sent. I only had 10 messages in there all together it said when it pruned it. I guess if it was important the person will write again or contact me through etsy or something!

Did you receive notification of the PM by email?  If so you should be able to discover who sent you the message.  There might be a way that I can find out who sent the message as member id's sometimes remain within the database, even after the message has been deleted.
