E will be 2 next month, and we have had a fairly good routine going for the last 3 months or so:
Wake between 6 and 6.30 (I don't know exactly - she doesn't make a noise until her light comes on at 6.30)
Nap 12.15-2.15 (I always wake her and she is always really soundly asleep)
Bed 6.45 (was generally falling asleep within 20 mins or so)
Suddenly she started taking 1-1.5h to go to sleep at night, and then I would wake her at 6.45 to start the day. I have tried moving the nap a bit later and a bit earlier (but I am really restricted in this because of M's activities etc - 12.15 is generally the earliest that I can get her down) but it doesn't seem to have made a difference. She has had a few days where her nap has been shorter but that doesn't seem to have made much difference either - the only time she has fallen asleep quickly recently was when she had 30 mins but I really can't believe that we need to cut 1.5h off her nap at once!
I think she has generally been about average sleep needs - certainly not high, but I don't think low, so I am struggling to think that she needs much less than 11h at night and 2h during the day. Could she be OT on this routine?
Any suggestions very gratefully received.
