Just thought I would send a little support your way. DS is doing the same sort of thing for the second time around. We went through the same thing maybe 1.5 months ago (?) and it felt like it lasted forever. DS refused bottles, different cups, spoons, and every different type of food. But he eventually came out of it (I was thinking teething was the culprit). It is hard to remind myself of that this time around. It is very frustrating!! DS only eats a little bit as it is, though a wide variety. Currently DS is only really eating crunchy things (cheerios, crackers, toast), some fruits and yogurt. I have a few things that I have frozen in bunches (soup, meats, steamed veggies), that I defrost small portions of and offer at his meals. This way if he refuses it is a little less frustrating that I wasted my time making things for him to eat. I also offer bits of what I am eating. DS does eat things that are put on toast and crackers as a "spread". I put mashed potatoes and carrots on a cracker the other day and he gobbled it down, after flat out refusing them on a spoon. In the mornings I try to give him his cereal with a spoon, which he usually refuses, then I put a few tbsp as a spread on the toast that he sucks right off! Every meal I have to remind myself that he will get back to normal, though it feels like it won't, and continue to offer a variety of foods. I certainly can't force him to eat what he doesn't want but I can give him the opportunity to eat a bunch of things!
Hope that helps!!
