We have been following (well trying to follow) easy since we got home from hospital.. we've had a few issues but overall have had a very settled and content little bubba until a few weeks ago when she decided to stop sleeping through the night and decided she needed an extra feed in the wee small hours. Not sure whether to just put up with it or whether to try to stop it... She is easy to settle for naps during the day, sometimes can be quite difficult to settle for night time sleep - often settles easily at first, then wakes after an hour or so and wont settle again for up to 3 hours!!
normal day:
E 630/7am feed - takes about 10 minutes to totally drain the breast and roll back with a contented grin
A play time in her bouncinette, chats with Mum on the sofa
S 730/8am goes down again around an hour after waking up, takes 10-15 minutes to settle herself, sleeps for up to 2 hours
E 10/10:30am
A longer A time than the first one - usually play time on the mat, tummy time, more stimulated play
S 11:30/12 goes down again and settles herself, shorter sleep for maybe 1 hour or so
E 1-2pm depends on how long she has been asleep or if we have been out and about
A play time on the mat or sitting up (propped up) with some toys
S usually around 3pm for 2 hours
E 5pm
A play time with Dad - cuddles and stories, bath at 6pm, massage, cuddles, wind down,
E cluster feed again at 7ish (if she is still awake) and into bed
Dream feed at 10:30 (although the last 2 nights she has woken again at 8 and still been unsettled at 10 so has had an awake feed at 10pm and gone straight to bed)
Wakes for a feed around 2 or 3 am
Wakes for a feed anywhere between 5 and 7am.. if its before 630am, I quiet feed her in the dark in her room and try to re-settle her, if its after 630am, we start the day....
How can we make evenings more settled? and get her to sleep through the night? because otherwise I think she is pretty much a dream baby!!! Maybe I should just be happy and put up with it??
