It's the last ones...this is good news.  Just cut 'em and yes, let's hope that sleep improves - you hang on to your dreams Laura!!!

The nap sounds better, 1.5 hrs...this is going to help clean up some OT.  Hang in there :-)

I can't take anymore :(

O is taking an hour or more to fall asleep at night.  He's still up in the night and waking at 6am (or earlier)

I wonder if the nap is interfering... but today he only slept 20mins in the car coming hom from ILs but still took 40mins to fall asleep (however the nap, if you can call it that, was really quite late)

I can't see anymore sign of those blasted teeth - they seem a bit elusive now - maybe I imagined them?  So I am reluctant to give meds at bed time "just in case"

Sorry to moan on some more but I have am so over this mess.

No sweetie they often retract then come back again and I think it's usually the movement of them that really hurts (I had braces I remember how much they bldy hurt!!)...Just give him some paracetamol sweetheart and help him, it won't do him any harm and if it lets him settle down then he needed it.

HUGS HUGS HUGS lovely xxooxxxxxx  You WILL get there sweetheart xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxox

We have 1 molar throguh and 3 more on th way... and getting lots stalling at nap and bedtime and a long time to fall asleep. I'll be so glad when they're all out. If I remember from DS1, his behaviour improved a LOT after they all came through!

we are the same - tantrums over nothing, short naps, SA at sleeptime and now a streaming nose which ALWAYS means teeth.
Previous to them actually coming through we had about a month I think of shorter nights, taking ages to fall asleep etc. Like Lizzie said the movement of them all before they are seen can also cause lots of issues. TBH Laura the more I think of it and look back at our sleep issues the more I am convinced that 90% of it is down to teeth, he is a kid who is very sensitive in that way and maybe O is too.
Hugs - you are doing great xxx

Finn's the same with movement of the teeth, it's so off and on.  And then the actually cutting through doesn't bother him as much although the whole process is a bit of a PITA.  All other things being equal Laura I think you need to assume teeth at this point and continue to offer him pain meds.  Can you ask him if his mouth hurts?  Does he know there is something going on in there?  Even at this age Finn is starting to point out where his 'ouchies' are so I wonder if O could actually tell you if something is up?

Dittoing the teeth, Laura.  C's just starting the bottom 2 molars and some days I can see more than others.  She whines most of the day and my patience really starts to wear thin, so I can't imagine then being awake for periods of time in the night!  I'd stick with the meds for a little while, since you know teeth are there, and just see if that at least helps the settling, for your sake as much as his!  Lots of ((hugs))!!

I think it sounds like teeth too - we're there as well.  Don't worry about giving pain meds just in case - my friend is a doctor and she told me I was being ridiculous when I said I didn't want to do that.  Paracetamol is fine in the correct dose - apparently it has no side effects - so you can give it for a long time without having to feel bad.  And if you think about it, if you were in pain every day, you'd take a painkiller, wouldn't you?

Well last night I am pretty sure he slept 7.30pm ish - 6am and then went back to sleep at some point until about 8am (maybe dosing but nevertheless we stayed in bed till 8.20am!)

He napped at 1pm - 2pm (I woke him as we were going out) and he was asleep about 7.20pm this evening.  I gave him nurofen tonight.  But I will do the paracetamol instead.  Thanks for the reassurance.

Wendy I ask him if his teeth hurt and sometimes he says yes and other times no!  BUT he has a VERY high pain threshold from being ill / bloods etc all the time.  The docs always say he can't be ill cos he's too happy!

I think so :-\ (but I often sleep through it!) that was with a 20min nap all day...  I do wonder really if when he can go without a nap if the long NWs will stop, but he can't go without a nap atm.

He's been whinging since we got up.  He doesn't want DH just me!  Heaven help him when I go back to work next week!
