Drinkng less milk during night feed.
« on: September 19, 2010, 23:27:16 pm »
Hi,

my DD is 8 weeks old and has been waking up once per night since she was born. Her routine, on most days is now:
E - 7am
A
S- 8am

E - 10am
A
S - 11am

E - 1pm
A
S - 2pm

E - 3:30pm
A
S - 4:30

E - 6pm
A
S - 7:30pm

DF - 10 or 10.30
E - 3.30 or 4.30am

She is bottle fed and usually drinks 150ml per feed (including DF). For the last 2 nights she has had only 80/100ml at  3.30 or 4.30am. I even changed her nappy to wake her up a bit, which I usually do not do, but she did not want to drink any more milk.
Is this a sign that she may drop her night feed? Or should I try to give her more milk during the day, and how?

Last night she had 80ml for the DF, 150 at 3.30am and 50ml at 7am. Should I drop the DF?

thanks
g

I would just go with the flow myself. If all she wants is 80ml then that's fine. Waking only once at her age is AMAZING so clearly you're doing very well - definitely would not make any changes.
