Teething, sleep and APOP
« on: September 20, 2010, 14:34:12 pm »
Hello!

I am quite happy to say that we finally had a kid that would just fall asleep at 7pm and wake around 6:30 with a good 2.5 hour sleep right after lunch. But then he started teething.... We how take 1.5 hours to fall asleep and he is waking several times in the night and having EW. I am pretty much APOP to get him to fall asleep. All four of his one year molars and two canines have just broken through in the last two days. I have been giving him pain meds a lot. My question is, is it possible that by doing all the APOP, I will lose the individual sleeper that I finally have? Should I limit what I do or when he is teething this much, just do what I have to to survive?

Thanks!

I always found that in that sort of situation, Colin went right back to his normal habits as soon as whatever was bothering him was cleared up.

This has been my dilemma for the last few months, on and off! And I still don't have an answer. I'm having a bad few nights and don't know what to do, I feel so mean when she cries!!

Hope it improves for you soon!
