22 month old nap refusals?!?
« on: October 24, 2010, 18:40:25 pm »
Does your little guy ever just flat out refuse a nap? (well, if under 2....). Woody has refused the last two and he's not ready to drop a nap- he's two in December... I think it's sep. anxiety since I'm working and he had users with sleep bc of sep anxiety a year ago. He'll spend 1 1/2 calling for us or playing and singing but we rarely go in...

Any advice? With baby #2 almost here I'm really gonna need him to take a nap! He sleeps at daycare 1-3 and crashes for us if he's been run HARD at the farm. He's refused a couple this fall but not two days in a row... He's never been a great sleeper :(

Thanks for any advice..... Really needed as hormones are making me crazy frustrated and trying not to take it out on DH!

Actually I am going through that today with my 19 mth old.  He refused his nap today which he normally takes at noon, has refused now again at 2 p.m. and I think he might finally be going off at 2:40.  Has thrown our day completely off.

If he's taking that much time to go to sleep at sleeps, I would say it's not just behavioural but a routine issue.
The tweaking never stops!
