If it has to be fried then I'd say home-made fried will be better than the processed one.  In a home-made one you will be using your own ingredients and it won't be 'processed'.  you will be using the best parts of the chicken.  Again - you have control over the salt / added ingredients that are added to the processed ones.  You will have no additives etc.

Yes, if you saw what goes into processed chicken nuggets - gross. It's basically just ground up fat/bones, with a little bit of meat - it's what's left over after all the 'good' cuts of chicken have been taken off the carcass.
