What do MPI babies drink for mulk after 1 year?

My DD is no where near switching off of formula. But I am however curious when we do make the switch off formula at 1 year, what do I switch to? I've heard so many different things..rice milk, soy milk, almond milk? She has a MPI, so obviously cows milk is a no. She is on soy formula right now.Just starting to look into this for when the time comes.

listening in and hopind DS will outgrow it by the time he is 1 but Hemp milk has been a good substitute for me..

Dylan has a dairy allergy and we use soy milk for drinking and cooking

It's a personal preference.  All the ones you listed above are good choices, some do Ned to be fattened up, or make sure they are enriched, or fortified.  Many mamas will use a combination, like rice milk with coconut milk.  Your ped should also be able to help guide you in that decision.

My DD drinks enriched almond milk.  But I do want to try hemp milk, have heard good things about it.

There are many mpi bubs who are also intolerant/allergic to soy (mspi), but many that are not.  It is a top 8 allergen, so many ped GIs and allergists will tell you to stay away from it depending on what type of symptoms your LO has, how severe, etc.

We stayed on soy formula until 18 months and then went to soy milk...but my health nurse got after me for that, saying that I should have kept her on formula until 2 because the fat is not the same in soy milk.  But, she was not taking into account that I knew that and was adding the fat in other ways.

We were on Neocate and tried to do Nutramigen at a year. When that didn't work well, our pediatrician told me to switch to rice milk rather than go back to Neocate. HTH.

Rice milk and hemp milk, but, tbh,  my kids rarely drink either--just use it if we have cereal and to bake. 

Hemp milk is great for cooking as it thickens more like cow's milk so it's good for frosting, pudding, sauces, etc.
