How old is your LO, and what kind of rice are you looking to give?

he is 26 wks, i wasnt 2 sure to be honest, ive only just started on lumpy food with him

That link has good instructions for making your own baby rice cereal.  You could also buy store bought baby rice cereal which is usually iron fortified and sometimes makes LO's constipated.  He is probably still too young to have rice just as you would be eating it. 

I think I'm going to try making it for my DS2 tomorrow.  ;)
