Crazy arms= waking early from naps at 45 mins!!
« on: December 05, 2010, 19:22:22 pm »
Hi,
My 17 week old has been a tremendous napper from 7 or 8 weeks but not anymore. He has started trying to roll so we've had to take him out of the swaddle for safety reasons and boy has it had an effect on his naps.

We're sort of getting there with the night wakes-he wakes, I pick him up, put him down when he stops then i keep my hand on his chest to try to calm him (is this right???) but no where near getting there with the naps.

HELP!!!!!!! I feel like a rubbish mum!!!

Awe hon, you're a great mum! How long has it been since you weaned the swaddle? I haven't weaned yet, but I know it can take awhile for things to return to normal afterwards. Have you tried HTTJ?
hand on his chest to try to calm him (is this right???)
I do this with my DS when we wakes in the night, and it works really well.
I hope tomorrow is better for you, keep me posted :)
Nikki

Thank you  ;D

I haven't tried holding him through the jolts.

I've watched this nap time carefully so far today...When he started yawning I started wind down etc-Im just not sure how to lengthen his naps!!!!!!
