Does she want more solids?

So, Hattie has started to refuse the bottle after having just 3-4oz, where she was having 6-7oz in one feed.  I'm pretty sure she was sick this past weekend with a little bug but it seems to be gone and she just doesn't seem all that hungry. 

She has been sleeping through the night and not needing a dream feed.  She'll go from 9pm-7am!  Her first feed will be about 4-5oz, then the rest of the day gets worse.

Here is our easy for the last few days:

E 7am (4-5oz)
8:30 little bit of solids
S 10am

E 12pm (3oz)
2pm try another bottle (2oz)
S 3pm

E 5pm (3oz)
Solids at 6or7pm
try another bottle (3oz)
S 7pm

Sometimes she wakes for a dreamfeed at about 9pm... but it doesn't seem to be food she wants, just a cuddle then to be left alone.

Her naps are usually about an hour and a half, so I'll wait a bit before feeding her... she just doesn't seem hungry!  We've tried several different nipples and it doesn't seem to be the speed that's the issue.  Should I try to get more solids into her?  Today she went from 7am-12:30pm and had a total of 6oz (3 at 7 and 3 at noon)!  Could this refusal of milk be because she wants more variety?

What is going on??

Hi Heather

I wouldn't be pushing the solids, especially since she's still so young.  She needs the milk way more than the solids, and solids at this age are for fun, not nutrition.  Is she teething?  That might be ruining her appetite.  I'm sure being sick hasn't helped either.  Is there anything else going on or that may have changed that might have caused her to lose interest in her bottle?

not that I know of, I think I may call the doc this afternoon.  I can't think of anything!

Have you thought about posting on bottle feeding?  Keep working on getting milk into her.  You don't want her to eat more solids and not be hungry for the milk.

doc says not to worry. she's just sick and needs a bit of time to get better before she can up her milk intake... realize now I probably should have posted in bottle feeding... oops but thanks for answering me

No problem, I hope she feels better and her appetite comes back soon.
