My LO refuses afternoon naps!!! HELP!!!!

Ok, so I have started EASY with my LO since last Wednesday and my LO has refuses to sleep in the afternoon for the past 3 days. I will put him down after 1 1/2 A time and I'll shush/pat him for over 1/2 hour and he just lays in his cot, eyes wide open. If his dummy (paci) comes out he'll start crying, so I pop it back in and continue doing the shush/pat, but he just won't sleep! I'm getting very frustrated and want to know what to do!
His EASY looks a bit like this, although times can vary but it's fairly typical:

E 600am

S 730am

E 9am

S 1030am

E 12pm

S 1pm

S Try to put down at 4pm but will just lay there

A 5pm since couldn't put him down
E 530pm - OT and cranky!!!!

Can anyone see any problems with this?

Ooops, that helps doesn't it!! Ha ha ha He's almost 12 weeks old. He also suffers from reflux is on 20mg Losec, colic, and is MSPI and on neocate.

The last nap of the day can be a tough one. First I'd try putting him down a wee bit earlier - if that doesn't help, remember that the cat nap is a 'freebie', and you can AP that nap if you want to. So take advantage of it if he will nap in his pram or car seat!

Thanks Anna, I didn't know the afternoon nap was a 'freebie', I can't remember reading that. But will try putting him down earlier. Has anyone got any other suggestions???

My lo has always resisted the last nap. Today he had a 5 hour A time!!!! I usually try to plan a little outing to the shop at 4ish to try to encourage a nap in the pram or car seat. I know this is cheating but usually works!
