DD1 is a great sleeper at almost 13 mths but she keeps having these odd nap days where I don't know what to do, its maybe once a week but I want to know what I have done wrong. Most days her schedule is:
7:15-we wake her
10-11:30-1.5 hr nap
2:30ish-1.5 hr nap
8:15-asleep for the night
So what happens is that she accidentally falls asleep nursing for the morning nap, and wakes 10 min later or sometimes when I transfer her. Then it takes her another hour to fall asleep and I end up waking her at 11:45 so she can get a 45 min nap. Then I put her down at the regular afternoon naptime, she is usually in there by 2 and she doesn't fall asleep till maybe 3:30 or 4 pm! Its crazy since she normally falls asleep by 2:30 or 3 with a 1.5 hr morning nap. So on these crummy days it looks like:
7:15-wake her
9:45 falls asleep nursing and then wakes
11-falls asleep again
11:45-wake her
2-in crib for nap
3:30/4-falls asleep-wake her at 4:45 to protect bedtime
8:15-bedtime
I can't really stop her from falling asleep nursing as she has eating issues and needs the food but I wonder if there is anything I can do to help her get a longer afternoon nap when this happens. Its odd too that she doesn't just stay asleep when she happens to nurse down cause she used to nurse down for the morning nap for months and it was no problem. That ended about 2 mths ago.
Any ideas??
Thanks!
Aileen
