good (and preferably not messy) snack ideas?
« on: December 23, 2010, 16:11:39 pm »
Now that my LOs are able to stay up for ~4hrs in the morning, I feel the need to give them a little snack before their nap.  Due to the way we have set up our house, we are only in the kitchen for breakfast and then we're upstairs for the rest of the morning (DH works from home in the main floor, so we try to stay our of his way, plus it's tough to bring two fussy babies downstairs for a snack and then back up).  I'd like to give them something upstairs but that doesn't require bibs or a (big) clean up.  I gave them cheerios today, that would probably work, but Cheerios are my go-to snack (they have them a few times a day!) and I need some more ideas.

Thanks!

Cheese sticks
Crackers
Dried fruit (although maybe it's a bit early for this one yet!)
Goldfish
Yogurt melts (not sure if you can get these where you are, but my DS thinks they are the cat's meow!)
Banana pieces (maybe too messy though?)

I'll keep thinking, too.  ;)

Baby or toddler mum mums? Gerber puffs? Home made fruit muffins or pancakes? (I make them and freeze, so just need to defrost)

Oh yes.  This is a big hit in our house!

Also, grapes?
