how much formula/milk for a 15 month old
« on: December 30, 2010, 18:19:16 pm »
hi ladies, i live in the middle east which means that cows milk is not great so i give my 15 month old boy S26 for ages 1-3. he has 2 bottles a day, one first thing in the am and then one before bed. he drinks from a cup easily during the day and straws and finally (touch wood) has settled down from being a very fussy eater. he also sleeps well at night.

my question is how much formula should he be having at this age? should i keep up with 2 bottles or drop 1?
i don't want to fix something that is not broken but also accept that he can't be on bottles for the rest of his life...

all feedback and suggestions most welcome please.
thanks

Rather than formula, can you give him cows milk made from powder?

If he is willing to drink from other things than a bottle, I'd wean to one bottle and in a couple of months drop that last bottle.  I've not bottle fed either of my boys, but I do know from other Mamas that many countries recommend getting rid of bottles not long after 1 yr.

thanks ladies, i will try dropping the early am bottle feed and introduce a cup later in the morning. i would love to introduce cow's milk, but i live in the middle east and the milk here is not that great in quality, so i prefer to use follow-on formula. thanks again
