AHHHHHHHH! am back down to toast. Tried making him a smoothie today, he took one sip handed it back and just kept saying please until I gave him plain watered down juice.
Refused his tea and yoghurts yesterday but then had some bacon and risotto.
today he had toast and half a bowl of porridge with some homemade damson jam.
Then his daddy was bold and gave him chocolate buttons so that was lunch out the window.
Will keep fingers crossed for dinner but DAMN this is hard

Irish pretty kitty - Oh... At least he ate some risotto? Plus the porridge, it's great you keep offering!
I don't know if this helps... But I find once I actually discover a food he'll eat i stick with it! Even this can be a hit and a miss, but I feel better knowing that he does like this food and if he were hungry he'd eat it? Maybe  ???  At the same time I know we are so posed to keep offering a range of foods - which I do from time to time once he starts to "tire" of the food I offer, but the new one is the second option and I don't push it. Just a thought  :-\
I'm not sure if someone else has already suggested this? I'm still reading the older posts... ::)

Same basic boat here. Still fighting a cold and still way cranky and barely eating. But then gets starving and cranky and screams until he eats something. Being WAY picky. NOT fun.

Same here... Hardly any breakfast, played with lunch and no dinner last night either!
I'm giving him a multi vitamin...
I agree! I have no idea how he keeps going.
He did eat some sliced cheese and rice biscuits after his nap.
Just a Q... Is any one still giving milk? If so when and how much? I'm wondering if I'm offering too much and he's waiting for it?

Finn gave up milk just after he turned one. Can not get it into him for love nor money. Not even in milkshakes

Matthew's barely been eating BUT hungry and cranky. In a super picky phase. I do still give milk - he has about 4 ounces (sometimes a little less) in the morning and 7-8 at night.

OH no Karen! Hugs xx

Have you guys heard of that multi vitamin product that not only ensures they get their daily vitamin intake but apparently it increases appetite? I've forgotten the name (I'll check next time I'm in the chemist). I'm switching to it once B finishes the multi vitamin I'm giving him now.

Has any one tried constant snacks? I was watching the health channel and a program came on where 2 British women (forget the name of the show). But they suggested to one mum with her toddler  to keep offering healthy yummy snacks literally all day! On the run, in the car, at the shops, while playing. Even in the bath!!!
She was suggesting things like thin slices of Colby cheese, strawberries, rice/rye crackers with spread, healthy home baked cakes (banana and walnut), shredded chicken mini quiches, mini pastries with yummy fillings, sandwiches cut into funny shapes (she used a cookie cutter).
She said although ultimately we want them to have 3 main meals and 2 snacks - she said with fussy eaters to try and get as much into them when possible no matter what they are doing at the time. And to stay happy no matter whether they take the food or not, but to make a big deal if they do take it. Sometimes the way in which the food is offered may be a turn off and LO’s feeling hungry all the time and almost get used to the feeling so don’t really recognise the hunger pang. She said once you start to get a flow of food into them you can slowly stretch out snacks over a long period of time so they are eventually full meals.

Another thing they tried was with one 2 year old boy they had a 4 year old girl eat next to him on a baby table, low and behold the 2 yo started to eat what the 4 yo was eating!!! Pretty amazing! The 4yo was just enjoying her fruit salad and saying things like yum strawberries, I love strawberries etc etc.

This has all probably been mentioned before but seeings I only saw the show last night I thought I'd relay the info!

I only just started offering food on the run it seems to def helped B with breakfast, he eats his breaky in the car seat (thank god this is working and i hope it continues!)

HTH xx

have heard that about the snacks as well. That fussy eaters might be better grazing all day rather than the three meals.
Finn tried turkey slices today for me and didnt spit them out!! HURRAY! If we can try one new food ever once in a while I still think there is hope

Hi Ladies

Can i join you ?  Ty is 14 months and is a terrible eater.  he just shakes his head at everything.  Today he has had a few shreddies, bits of strawberries and a yoghurt.  Lunch was 2 carrot stick crisps and a yoghurt.  He's had 2 bottles so far today (after food), no idea what to try for tea as everything just gets left or thrown around.
