Another question about transition
« on: January 15, 2011, 17:40:41 pm »
Has anybody any experience of doing the progression transition from 3 to 4 hour EASY?

If Itry it does the first nap become shorter until they can fully transition?  Because my plan is to try and increase each activity slot by 15min starting with the first but I am confused with what therefore happens with her next feed time.

She wakes at 7, I then aim for nap time at 8.45 which means only a hour and 15min nap if the feed stays at 10, when really she is happy taking a full hour and half, 2 hours nap if left.  I've read the relevant links but think I am being bit thick as not sure how to do it.

DD is doing all sorts of strange things so def want to try it.
thanks x

You start to move to a 4hrly feeding schedule at the same time - so you still allow them to sleep for up to 2 hrs and then feed when they wake (so might be up to 3.5hrs at first - then longer as you get closer to 2 hrs A time).

It is the CN that fades away - and you will end up with a bit of an evening cluster feed until you are on a solid 4hrly EASY.

Does that make sense??
