Not interested in breaskfast
« on: January 17, 2011, 20:34:58 pm »
Hi all,

My 11 month old lo is loving her food and is drinking 3 x 7oz bottles at 7am, 3pm and 6.30pm. In the last month or so she has mostly lost interest in breakfast. She may have a couple of mouthfuls of porridge or cereal but really isn't hungry.

I just had a few questions that i'd appreciate any thoughts on.

How much milk should a 11 month old be having during the day?

Will a milk feed be dropped any time soon?  Should I be giving some of her milk in something other than a bottle.
Many thanks!

C

I think it's normal for some LO's to not be interested in breakfast.  Some just don't have much of an appetite at that time.

You can introduce a sippy cup for milk now if you haven't already.  Some LOs might take a little longer to get used to taking all their milk from a sippy, but practice is always a good thing.
I'm not too familiar with bottle feeding routines but you could post on the bottle feeding forum as well for more advice about dropping bottles.  HTH  :)
