More hugs from me too Laura. Think of you often and really hope you and O can get some sleep soon - you both need and deserve it in spades!

Thank you Karen :-*

We didn't end up with a nap again, and it was rather a late bedtime (well late for a child who hasn't had a nap I mean ;) ) cos DH was very late in from work.  So we shall see what happens...

I feel like I have to give this no nap a proper shot again, at least now he's a bit older he isn't falling asleep in his tea like he did when I tried before!

Dropping off more HUGS :)

I know it's hard, and it seemed to be much harder than the 2-1 at times. Mostly because there was no 'break' anymore.

Last night was *ok* for him.  He still woke around 1.30am for a minimum of an hour but did "appear" to sleep in this morning even with a pooey nappy (first in a very long while give he's PT'd now!)

No nap again today didn't even fall asleep in car going to my dad's.  We'll see what tonight brings - I mean he does look tired but he's been coping well.

Well last night was his usual night - i.e. a long NW around 2.30am and still awake at 6.15am.  He was asleep by 6.25pm last night so he still probably got around 11hrs ish...

Vicki - why did you decide to put your girls on one nap?  Were they NWing?

We went to one nap when it started taking an hour of nap resistance for the first nap and a flat refusal for the second. Then they'd be OT. Bedtime was a nightmare and multiple nw's. Dropping the one nap was a little different. They would happily nap but bedtime would sometimes take 2 hours. Multiple nw's, long nw's and ew's sometimes of 4am. Then we pushed the nap back to 10am but they were just getting caught up for the next night to go at it again. Funny when I write it out it seems to make more sense now. We still get some nw's and ew's of say 6ish but things are waaaaaay better. I think there's a lot to be said about temperment too. I really think spiriteds fight sleep. Mine always did no matter what the routine almost as if theyreafraid of missing out on something kwim? E only fights if she's severely OT.
Going to one nap took about 2 weeks to see a good change and there was a lot of tweaking to routine along the way. Dropping it entirely was easier routine-wise but took longer to see results.

I am sorry you didn't have a good night. Sending you sleeping vibes for tonight and hoping you are not completely exhausted - although I am sure you are. Your LO must be too.
