Weekend entertainment for DS and his sister?
« on: January 26, 2011, 21:28:57 pm »
Hi girls, me again  :P

My Step-DD will be with us this weekend, nothing new there, but wanting to get us all out for a couple of hours as we feel we've not done a lot recently and our weekends have got a bit boring (for her in particular).

Any ideas for an activity/outing that will suit my 20 month DS and his 12 year old sister? We only need to be occupied for a couple of hours (must fit around DS's nap, of course  ::) ) and are on a budget......swimming was my first thought but DH isn't interested, we've exhausted walks/parks, and whilst soft play suits DS down to the ground, step-DD is too old for that now.

How do you find entertainment that suits such a wide age gap? Or don't you?!  :-\

TIA  :-*

Yeah that did go through my mind Jane, there's also a soft play in the cinema complex that could entertain DS and I whilst they are in the cinema, but really wanted to do something as a family. Since DS came along we do tend to do things independantly.......Step-DD and I go shopping whilst DH is home with DS, or DH and DD go to the cinema whilst I'm home with DS.......just wanted to get us all out together, you know? Think I'm going to find it hard to find something that pleases us all though!

Any Childrens' museums nearby?  Or how about sledding? Do you have snow?

How about the Zoo? Not always cheap but normally something for everyone?
