My just turned one yo is creeping toward the 2-1 nap transition. He used to nap from 10:30-11:30 and then 2:30-4, but it's getting harder to get him down for the am nap. My almost 4 yo still nap (praise God) from 2-4 every day, so I'd like to coordinate their naps a little bit so I can have them all nap.
So far, I've been laying the little guy down at 10:30 and he falls asleep around 11. I just let him nap 30 min. or so and then he's ready for a pm nap the same time as his siblings. It's like a reverse catnap and for the last two or three days it's worked.
But, am I not thinking of something? Might this backfire down the road? I've noticed that if I let him sleep past noon, he's done napping for the day.
Thanks for any ideas/feedback.
