Will try medicating tonight. I just put posted this on the EASY board. I put her down for her CN at 6:10pm and letting her sleep for 10-15min. How long should her A to bedtime be?

It is hard to say.  I always go by cues...I know that is not much help.  Honestly, if you only let her sleep that long, I would just feed again and get her ready for bed.

So-So night last night.  I put her down at 7:45, she woke screaming for her DF before 10.  Woke at 2:45 and woke at 6:45.  I always feed her, because frankly, I don't want to spend forever trying to settle her, just to end up feeding anyway.  When I go in, I can tell within a minute whether or not she is going to settle.  But, she is not waking as often as Alyssa.  Obviously, you are not feeding her when she wakes 3-4 times per night.

I am not sure anything will really fix this other than time.  I am giving her until about 6.5 mo to keep this up, and if all is the same, then I will start to work on weaning the feed at night.  I don't want to do it now b/c she takes 6 feeds a day, and 4 of those 6 are evening or nights feeds.  She is just disinterested during the day I think.

Good luck tonight Sabs!

at least you had a better night.  Aylssa went to bed at 7pm, woke up at 11pm, then 12am(fed her here), then at 3:30am, then at 5am. I think i should of fed her here/ I brought her to my bed and she was in and out of sleep until 6:21am.  I wonder if her cn is too close to bedtime? Shouild i move bedtime to 7:30pm and see if that gives me a later wake up?
boy am i tired

Sorry you are tired :(  My situation is nowhere near as bad as yours.  Last night, she had the 'usual' night, waking at 2:30 to feed, then up screeching happily to herself at 6:30.  This, despite me making several changes, including adding 1 oz to her DF and night bottle, giving her one and only meal of solids for dinner (as opposed to breakfast) and offering some tylenol and topical meds in case she is teething.

I am also thinking of limiting or dropping the CN, but she happened to not have it the other day, and the night followed the same pattern.  The only thing I have not tried is what you are thinking- a later bedtime.

Let's do that tonight and report back.  I send you hugs and a big cup of steaming hot Tim Horton's coffee to wake you up :)

At least you had a better night. I am convinced that this girl needs to drop her CN, but she can't handle 3 hours of A just yet.  Sigh I think I am going to try a CN tonight of 20min and move bedtime a little later.  Perhaps she needs more A before bed, but that CN interferes.  :-\

I just had a nice espresso to wake me up. LOL.

I will report back tomorrow to let you know how she did.

I am just shattered. She was asleep by 7pm-one hour A after her 20min CN. Woke up at 11pm, then 12am, then 1am, where I decided to feed her here.  The little stinker decided to have a crib party from 1-2am.  Sigh. I so tired, I picked her up and brought her to my bed.  She fell asleep and woke up at 6am. Fussed and fussed for 30min, so I decided to feed her but she didn't want to go back to sleep. Do you think the CN is affecting her sleep? Could it be that she needs more A after that CN? A 20min CN is short! I wonder if i should work on dropping it or pushing her bedtime.
OMG, I am in tears. I just want to have at least a 5hour stretch of sleep.  :'(

Sabs, I am so sorry.  If I were you, I would definately try a later bedtime and maybe even eliminating that CN.  I put mine to sleep at 8 pm last night (about 20-25 mins later than usual).  I heard her screaming at 9 pm, went in to check on her, and the darn cat ran out.....Grrrr.

But, she slept all the way till 4:45 and then I fed, and she slept until 7:15.  Of course, she does this on her own about once or twice a week anyway, but I am sure the later bedtime, plus the larger bottles I give at her DF help.

Trying a later bedtime can't hurt, can it?  However, I just don't understand how OT/UT etc can cause as many NW as you are having.  It seems much more likely to be some sort of discomfort, but I would expect you would be having at least some problems during the day, right?

I think a later bedtime might help.  I am going to push mine to try and make it to 8.  I know for a fact DD1 was at an 8:30 bedtime by 5 months.

i am going to try a later bedtime after her CN.  If that doesn't work, I plan to eliminate the Cn.  I am not sure if it is discomfort anymore! Could be, but I am not 100% sure.

She gave you a great stretch.  ;D

Lets report back later.

Just need to vent: I was looking at DD1's routine at this age and she was averaging 3hrs of A and was on two naps of two hours. Of course she was sleeping through the night! Why did I look at her EASY???? :-\

Huge Hugs Sabrina.    Try not to compare the 2. They are different kids.

I would aim for dropping the cat nap and moving bedtime earlier. I think that by pushing the day out, you are just going to continue your OT cycle.

Honestly though, I don't think all of your issues are CN related.  I am still wondering if the reflux is controlled.  I also think the co-sleeping might get you into trouble.  I know you are exhausted and don't want to hear that.

I know I have to stop the co-sleeping, but how do I settle her in the early morning hours without waking her sister up. There rooms are right beside each other. I am using  white noise outside her room. I should bite the bullet and try to settle her in her room, right?
You think that these Nws are OT related, even though she is giving me somewhat decent naps.

So, I decided to try a later bedtime and still I got Nws every hour. Not sure if she is getting sick as her sister is sick or if she really needs to drop the CN.
Here is how yesterday went:

wake 6:30am
nap 9:30-11:10am
nap 2-:3:35pm
CN 6-:6:25pm
S 8pm

I don't even want to post the nws-just horrible. It is 12am now and she is talking in her crib. Should I try a few more days of pushing BT later or eliminate the CN?

Hugs Sabrina.  It is very hard when there is another LO to worry about.  Can you put white noise inside the other bedroom?  That has saved us.  We have white noise in both kid's rooms.

I would skip the cat nap completely and just get her down.  But I don't think those NWs are OT, because it doesn't seem as if your routine looks that way.  That being said, if she isn't getting any sleep at night, she could be.  I don't know. ???

Do you think she is getting sick?

I could try the white noise in the older one's room. She has never slept with white noise.  :-\
So we had a 10hour night-classic OT.  She woke up at 6am and cried until I took her out of her room.  She looks tired and is smiling ATM.  Her nose is a little runny, so not sure if she is getting her sister's cold.  I also tried advil but that did nothing.
So you think I should skip the cn instead of a later bedtime?
I don't know how long I should keep her up this morning. I may follow her cues.

I wouldn't mind these NWs so much if hubby was home during these hours. He works so I get stuck with all of them.  :'(
