Randomly Skipping nap?
« on: February 03, 2011, 18:38:55 pm »
Okay so dd thanks to bw is an amazing sleeper and a relatively good napper.  My problem is about once maybe twice a week I put dd down for nap and she NEVER goes to sleep! :o  All the other days she goes down and sleeps and then bam we get this one day where she just does not sleep.  She is happily in her crib talking to herself playing with her blanket and paci.  I go up to check she not poopy and I go up and settle her again but nope no sleep.  Now my question is do I just get her up or do I leave her?  I have been leaving her till about the normal time she wakes (when she does sleep) in the crib because she is happy and I figured she at least is getting some quiet time if she doesn't fall asleep? but now am unsure if I should be doing that.  Should I be getting her up and just going about our day?  Do I need to tweak nap time for this random none napping days?  Sorry so many questions. Thank you for your help in advance

Hi there, what does her day normally look like?  Is she sleeping more than 11 hrs at night?  Is she teething?
The tweaking never stops!

Her normal day looks like this:
Awake: anytime between 6 and 7am
Nap:12:30-2/@:30
Bed: 7pm

Funny you should ask about the teeth I finally got my finger in there to feel around with out being bitten and it turns out 3 out of the 4 canine points have cut through so that could be the reason for no nap.  :( Why are we always the last to know when these stinking teeth pop thru?
