How funny - I am just going through a pile of paperwork in the kitchen and among the papers I found a recipe written on a scrap of paper - the other side was a list of what DD had eaten for the day, noted down for me to post on here! Funny thing is it must be about 4yrs old as she's 7.5 now LOL! This used to be one of my favourite threads when DD was little (along with the menu planning thread - can you see a theme there?! I'm all about the food
) For some reason I haven't done it with DS - probably lack of time with two! - but will make an effort to do it (at least once in a while!) as I always found it helpful to see what everyone else was eating and get ideas (as you said) and even pinch some recipes!
DS eats fairly well - though does refuse dinner quite often if it's not what he fancies - I don't worry too much though cos he eats a varied diet and I remember DD used to do it around this age.
Going to try and remember what DS had yesterday:
B: Juicy water (watered down OJ), slice of toast and butter, blueberries and grapes
S: Half a toasted fruit teacake and milk
S: (post swimming) few crackers
L: Cheese sandwich, half an avocado, couple of cucumber slices, couple of cherry toms, couple of green and black olives, fruit pot, handful of blueberries, water
S: milk
D: pasta with pesto, s-d toms, green & black olives, capers, topped with grated cheese (his favourite tea - he cheered when he came into the kitchen!), yoghurt, pack of yoghurt raisins
I wouldn't say it was a typical day really - seems to be quite a lot, but it was his favourite meal which I think he would eat every day given half the chance!
