Berni I am the same way with my own eating!
Pleased to hear that I'm not the only one!  ;)

I am also guilty of not buying things DH and I don't eat for the kids to at least try (like olives!).
I think most people are probably guilty of this - as both DH and I love olives the LOs have always been 'exposed' to them - they both rejected them at first - can't remember exactly at what age they were offered but both LOs signed 'grapes' when they saw them - bit of a shocker if you think you're going to taste a sweet grape and you get the salty taste of olive LOL!

DD always likes to have 'olives and pickle (gherkin) on the side' of her lunch and will often ask where they are if I don't put them on! When she takes packed lunch to school she has a 'veg box' which consists of: 2 cherry toms, couple of slices of cucumber, 2 green olives, 2 black olives, 1 pickle. Some of the other LOs have 'commented' on her veg box (and by commented I'm being polite  >:() and she was a bit upset - I did say that if she was bothered I would stop putting things in that were 'different from the norm' but she said she wanted to carry on taking them cos she loves them  ;D I was very proud as I explained that they were the ones missing out!  ;) DS still hasn't quite got to the pickle stage yet - has a bite or small piece but that's as far as it goes - we're on a mission to convert him LOL!

I hate food waste so I serve really small portions and then they get seconds if they want.
I'm the same - TBH we have very little food waste as it's something I try to be conscious of. Though you have pointed out the obvious there - I should put out smaller portions and then they can ask for more rather than overloading their plates. I miss having the dogs as they were very good at consuming any waste!  ;) DH quite often has 'seconds' now - which basically means that he eats whatever DS has refused  ;) DD is pretty good at eating whatever is put in front of her - in fact this past couple of weeks she is permanently hungry so I'm wondering if she is in a GS (do they get them at 7.5yo  ???) as I can't seem to fill her.

Anyway - I veered slightly OT there . . . could talk about food all day LOL!!

Here's what DS had today:
B: slice of toast, few handfuls of blueberries, banana, juicy water, milk
S: cup of milk on way to playgroup - said he had a biscuit at playgroup but he could have had more
L: leftover sausage pasta bake, yoghurt, water
S: milk, organix cheese crackers
D: pick & mix plate:  half an avocado, salami, cheese, hummus, breadsticks, green & black olives, cherry toms & cucumber, fruit in jelly pot, yoghurt raisins, water

Growth spurst happen still for my older two every birthday & half birthday! Fun times as they all three have birthdays within 3 weeks of each other! Our dogs have allergies and irritable bowel so no scraps for those big guys no matter how cute they look!

Today was a daycare day but for now they keep a sheet for E,

B - toast & milk
S - apple slices & bagel
L - lol poor kid got spaghetti, good thing she likes it!
S - oranges & crackers
S - 1/2 of a 6 inch sub (just meat and cheese in it) and 1/2 a cookie (afaik, I left for music class while she was still eating).

My kids get made fun of for bringing tuna for lunch, but they love it so they don't care!

That makes sense now then - half birthday is coming up in a couple of weeks. Haven't ever really noticed such an increase though - ATM all I seem to hear is 'I'm still hungry' - and that's after she's eaten as much (if not more!) than me!

Fun times as they all three have birthdays within 3 weeks of each other!
Your food bill must increase substantially LOL!

I don't even thing tuna is that unusual LOL!!

Today:
B: slice of toast, couple of handfuls of blueberries, bit of a kiwi, juicy water
S: cup of milk (en route to CM), biscuit & juice (at CM)
L: (at CM) cheesy pasta, yoghurt, juice
S: cup of milk
D: potato wedges and veggie chili - ate the wedges (about 3 or 4 I think) then ate one kidney bean from the chili  ::)

Haribo - your DS is a food monster! I LOVE that he was hungry at 6am and had a 'snack' before his breakfast! (thought TBH I would be mortified if DS told me he was hungry at that time - Mr Sunshine doesn't get up til 7am so neither does DS!  ;))

Today:
B: slice of jam on toast, kiwi, couple of handfuls of blueberries, small banana, juicy water
S: cup of milk, organix cheesy crackers
S: cup of milk after swimming
L: half a cheese & ham toastie, half a chocolate/marshmallow teacake, juicy water
S: cup of milk, apple*
D: pesto pasta with s-d toms, capers, black & green olives topped with grated cheese, couple of cherry toms & slices of cucumber on the side, couple of bites of pretzel (the large bread type ones as opposed to the crackers), strawberry muller rice, water
S: bit of chocolate (LOs tend to have a 'sweet treat' after dinner whilst watching a bit of TV!)

*DS was asking for an apple this morning after breakfast (when he'd finished all the other fruits in the bowl!) but we just didn't have time before the school run - and he doesn't really eat them much anyway. He reminded me this afternoon that he'd been asking for an apple (cos 'they are so lovely and crunchy' apparently!) so I said I'd chop it up for him and put it in his snack bowl - he said 'No, I want to do big bites'. I took a bite out of it to get him started and was half expecting him to bring it back a couple of minutes later saying he was 'finished'. He sat himself on the sofa watching an episode on Thomas and when it ended he did bring what was left of the apple to me . . . pretty much just the stalk!!! I couldn't believe it but he had eaten all the 'core'  :o I wouldn't even eat that myself! It wouldn't be so shocking if he loved apples - but if I slice one up he only has a couple of bits and I eat the rest. They are funny these LOs!

That is too funny Berni, Spencer is actually terrified of accidentally eating the core!

Today was:

B - cereal (cheerios and some corn pops) and a stale pretzel found on the floor
S- morning was a run on snack of more cheerios, banana slices, bagel, raisins, a stale choc covered raisin found under the stove (now she has started scavenging - growth spurt??)
L - spaghetti (last of the leftovers!), insides of two cabbage rolls
S - don't remember!
S - sausage, cabbage roll insides (lol my kids won't eat the cabbage!), corn, peas.

Sarah I was reading your acronyms...so gluten, dairy, egg, soy and is CF corn free? I've done GF, DF & EF at once but not the last two.

Yesterday:

B - cheerios and half of my bagel
S - banana, pretzels
L - cabbage rolls
S - crackers and apples (at daycare so I think that was all)
S - pizza & raw veg - cukes & carrots
