Hiya, my dd goes to bed at 7.30-8pm every night, she wakes for a feed at 11pm ish and then anywhere between 2.15am and 4am. The thing is for the last couple of weeks she is waking and staying awake for 2hrs when she does wake up.
She is 5 1/2 months and 20lb.....she has about 27oz of formula a day and 3 meals, just started breakfast and she doesnt really want it.
Last night she had a 6oz feed at 11pm and then woke at 2.15am and i tried to get her back off to sleep, i used a dummy and ssh/pat, i finally thought she was asleep and then she woke crying again, i gave her a bottle at 3am, 5oz formula. She then stayed awake until 4.15 and then slept until 8am.
This happens every night, but to be honest i dont think she really needs that bottle as she never really eats that much for breakfast....i just cant cope with loads of crying and ssshing and patting all night!!
I think it maybe a good idea stretching out A time as she is getting a bit older now, when she does wake at 2/3am she is always awake for 1.5 - 2hrs, tossing and turning, sucking dummy and then spitting it out, its like she just isnt tired enough to go to sleep.
I wake my dd at 8am every morning and she is asleep by 7.30 - 8ish everynight.
Also im going to try hungry milk for 11pm feed!
Also she has bad constipation with starting on solids, maybe she is in discomfort with this?
Should i try waking her an hour before to see if that helps
Thanks
