he won't stop eating!

my ds2 is 6months exactly. He has been on solids for 2 weeks now and he won't stop eating! I have to cut him off. I know you are supposed to watch for them to tell you when they are done, but after he eats an entire banana and some rice cereal...isn't that enough??? The only reason I am concerned is I obviously don't want him to overeat, but he doesn't seem to want as much bottles now and often spits a lot of it up. I know that is the most important. Do I limit his solids? Do I reduce his bottles? (I know I am supposed to do this soon, but didn't think after only 2 weeks of eating.)

I would limit his solids so that he is still back to the original amount of milk he was having pre-solids. At this age he still needs to be getting his nutrition from milk.

thanks Anna. Wasn't sure. I am going to try that... hopefully he won't get too mad. (sometimes he cries for more) and congrats on the new LO.
