We started toast at 6 months - just a quarter of a slice, buttered, and handed to her. She was putting everything in her mouth anyway so knew exactly what to do with it!

That was more than two months ago, though, and it was only this weekend that she started to actually swallow bits of it. Before then, she'd suck the butter off and discard the 'packaging' on the floor : )

too cute! She is really good with chewing and putting food in her mouth. I am going to try it today.
Did you offer it as a snack or part of a meal?

We give it as part of breakfast - we used to give it before the cereal so if she vomited the damage was minimal; now it's just because it's handy to keep her occupied while we prepare brekkie! Sometimes she'll have another piece afterwards while I clean up.

I've given it to her in the evening with a scrambled egg too though.

I've given it to DS at lunchtime, buttered & cut into fingers.

He sucks at it til it goes soggy, sometimes bits break off in his mouth & he looks horrified & spits it out!!!!  Am sure he'll get the hang of chewing & swallowing it soon though!  :D

How did she like it?

No. I tried cous cous one day mixed in with a carrot puree and she wasn't impressed. I'll try it again soon though, things change fast at this stage!

No I havent yet either.  He's still not keen on the texture of ready brek so think pasta may be a step too far just yet!  But plan to try soon.
