I am new to "Dream Feeding" and not sure how it works.
Are you suppose to feed while LO is sleeping?
what about burping? wont the baby spit up/choke?

 Hi there.  ;D

The idea is to do it whislt they sleep yes. Some LO's initially wake but then dont bother after a few days and for some LO's it doesn't work at all as it causes more NW.

The idea is that you dont need to burp as bub takes it little air as they are so relaxed but DS always needed burped!  ::)

You just pop the bottle in and the sucking reflex will start and they are away. It was a lifesaver with DS. DD didn't take to it though.

Have a wee look at this link.

I would keep it up for a week and see if it makes a difference. You should know by then, dont expect the other NF to drop straight away.  :)

And just in case it is not listed somewhere, make sure you are picking your lo up out of bed and not feeding them laying down as that can lead to choking and increased risk of ear infection.

well the past few nights hes had his bottle at 8:30 and he has been so fussy after that feeding and he wont go to sleep without having to be held and a prop so Ive been "cluster feeding" and finally that is the last thing that gets him to sleep is to give him about 2 ounces around 11pm.
I dont understand why all the sudden this is happening because he use to go to sleep right after his 830pm feeding

Perhaps he's overtired? Hows he napping?

Has this been happening since the cluster feeds started?

he was on a sensitive formula and was pretty happy but very constipated. so we went to the Advantage formula and now he is real fussy at night ever since.

SOrry I dont know those formulas. Are they from the US?

It does seem like the formula might be causing some upset goven that these issues started round about the time you switched.
