?excema type rash
« on: March 24, 2011, 13:15:43 pm »
Hi all.  My lo is 6.5m.  She has always had dry skin.  Recently however she has developed red dry raised patches.  I am wondering if this is excema.  There is a family history my sister.  Anyhow the only new food added to her diet has been a tiny amount of white fish...a few flakes. She has had no other dairy other than formula.  her diet is all root veg with a few fruits.    Can fish cause this.  She has always been mixed fed breast and formula and this is the first appearance of any skin reaction.

Any ideas.

Hiya,

It could be one of several things, so please take her to the doctor and get it checked out. You can mention the dry skin and the possible reaction to fish, and see what they say.

HTH  :)

This can certainly be eczema. I assume you have all kinds of creams and emollients to help with this? Of course if you are worried go to your GP and ask! Have you tried a new washing powder that she could be reacting to maybe? I am not sure about the symptoms of a fish allergy.
