Cow & Gate Comfort changed
« on: March 24, 2011, 22:27:35 pm »
Hi
Just to let you know, since Cow & Gate amalgamated their 0-6monts and 6-12 months "Comfort" formula into one suitable from birth to 1 yr, THE INGREDIENTS ALSO CHANGED.......after a whole month of my lo not sleeping nights I contacted cow & gate...turns out there is soya in the new formulation, and also increased fish oils.  The nutritionalist I spoke to immediately said it was prob the soya, and advised me to try get the old 6-12 month formula (gone from big supermarkets but I managed to get from shops & chemists}. As far as I can see, mulipa is doing the same....just to let you know in case anyone is having trouble with restless nights...

That's good to know thank you!

We had DS on the cow & gate comfort and did put him on to the second one but it constipated him so it was back to the first milk!

You don't need to move babies onto the 6month+ milks - the first milks are fine for them up until 1. These second stage milks, goodnight milks and toddler milks are mostly a way for the formula companies to advertise their products as they can't advertise or offer incentives on first milks.
