14mo- is letting LO in our bed becoming a prop??
« on: March 27, 2011, 19:46:42 pm »
Hi,

My LO is 14mo and an independent sleeper. He goes down for naps on his own and can self settle if he wakes through the night. LO sometimes wakes earlier than usual in the morning (about 5-5.30am) and I sometimes put him in bed with me, where he'll usually sleep for another hour. I mainly only do this on a weekend, when I'd like a sleep in! If I don't get him in bed with us, then he won't sleep for any longer. Is it a bad idea to do this....? Do worry that he might get in to a habit of it??

Thanks for any advice

It might well become a habit. If you're happy for him to keep coming in... and possibly waking earlier and earlier for it...
