nap advice
« on: March 30, 2011, 11:39:06 am »
I think it is time to begin trimming Madison's nap down as she is waking up a little earlier and is trying to push bt later.

she has been on this routine well over 9months now
wake 7am
nap 12:30/12:45pm-2:30/2:40pm
bedtime 8:10pm.  I don't know what time she exactly falls asleep. I think it is quickly as she likes her room pitch black.

I am not sure if I should leave nap time as is and begin trimming it from there or move it a little later and trim it.

I would see what happens if you push it a bit later. My twins are almost 4 and they started their naps abour 12:45 and over the years it's pushed a bit later. Now they go down from 2-4. I always knew it was time to push that nap if they started waking up early. Good luck!

Hi!

I would try pushing her nap nearer to 1pm & cap at 1.5hrs to see if this makes a difference to her nights (you might need to pull BT back a touch earlier too if you think it's necessary). My DD needed a routine tweak not long after she turned 2 yrs old, I definitely think that their sleep needs change at around this age.

What do you think?
