should I increase my portions of solids?
« on: April 07, 2011, 15:27:12 pm »
I usually give my LO 3 ice cubes of dinner (I make all his meals & freeze them).  Out of interest I just weighed his dinner for today which is chicken, sweet potato & apple dinner & it weighed just under 2oz.

Does this seem like a reasonable portion for a 7.5 month old on 3 meals a day or is it a little on the small side??  Just wondering if I should maybe increase it a little as he more or less always finishes it all plus has a small pudding of fruit, yoghurt or jelly & his milk consumption is on the high side too.

It sounds like a fine amount but you can try offering a bit more if you like and it's not affecting his milk intake.  :)
