What's the deal with teeth atm?  If he doesn't have 2nd year molars it sounds like it could be those ???

Tomorrow I would perhaps try a nap 6hrs from wake - what did you try the other day?

Just wanted to send some hugs and love and you have my sympathy, cause we have something really similar with my 3 year old too at the moment.  He is EW, not napping and having the most horrendous NW's imaginable - so I feel your pain.  Hoping for some relief for us both very soon!

I just dont know the deal with teeth. He wont let me look in his mouth.  >:( He's grinding them all the time though and this is relatively new. I am a teeth grinder, really bad. I have almost no molars left in my mouth as they all cracked from it. I'm hoping he's not got the same affliction.

He finally went to sleep about 8 last night. No NW but he was up for the day at 5.30 or thats when I heard him anyways, could have been earlier. THe gro-clock dodn't do the job. Perhaps I should be setting it earlier and eeking the time out when he gets it? Any gro-clockers out there with pearls of wisdom?

that's what I was thinking, so the first few times he wakens and sees that it is "morning" and can get up, then gradually change it - suppose he wouldn't stay long in bed just waiting for the clock to change ...

He's down! Totally crashed out as he is so tired. Any ideas on how long I should let him nap for? I was going to go for the full 2 hours of he'll have it. Trip to the beach this afternoon to wear him out and shoot for a 7pm bedtime. So long since I've even thought about A's with this kid but that makes only a 5 hour A to bed of he naps for 2. Too short?  Given that he's pretty OT though maybe just the ticket. I medicated pre nap so maybe teeth are a factor here.

Dylan down too. Woop woop. It really is a magical moment when both kids go down for a nap in quick succession. The house is so quiet.

If he's that OT I would let him sleep two hours and get him to bed earlier - asleep at 6.30 latest might stop him from getting his 'second wind' and also catch him up a bit more!  I think when they get themselves in this much of a state ut's unlikely they're suddenly gonna end up UT iyswim.

Both kids had a 2 hour nap and boy did I need that Y time.  ;) I actually woke him after 2 hours and fairly certain he would have slept all day. I didn't get to check BW so went for the 7pm bedtime, he's up there now STILL messing around.  ::) Although more quietly that usual I have to say.

Please, please let me get a good night out of this kid tonight.

OK, so I managing to get a nap out of him. Getting him good and tired in the morning and he's ready for one which is great. Waking him after 1.5/2 hours.

Thing is we still have this bedtime carry on. He's not going to sleep for aaaaaaages and banging about up there. Then we are getting OT EW. The gro-clock is not working for us right now although I think it might kick in soon as he is very fascinated by it. I am getting so angry with him and I hate it.

How can I get him to settle better at bedtime? Any ideas?

could you use the clock for his nap if that is a bit more predictable?

Not sure about the bedtime bit- Murray was doing that a few weeks ago for a few days.... I blamed teeth (as I always do!!) and he also had days where he would take 1.5 hours to nap ... he is now back to his usual sleeping routine (apart from sometimes being woken slightly early in morning with Oliver crying) ..... fingers crossed he is back on track too asap xxx

He's actually went down lovely for the past 2 days for his nap. Surprising really as he was on 1 nap every other day but what with the EW and OT around here he needed it today too.

Its bedtime thats the bother here. He didn't go to sleep until 8.30pm tonight. If he gets up early as he as been doing that'll mean another 9 hour night. Thats just too short. I'm starting to worry that maybe napping him is a bad idea. I just dont know. God I so thought I was past all this with him.  :(
