Thanks for all your input so far, Liz. I brought DS to the pediatrician and he said it sounds like classic reflux and he put him on Ranitidine. I will try it out and see if it helps.
I have another question for you: The pacifier. I use it to help him relax to burp (so often during the day). I also have been using it fo sleeps and it has become a prop. He can sleep without it if he spits it out, but when he wakes before at least 3 hrs since last feed, I have used it to successfully get him back to sleep for a while. He also goes to sleep with it. Sometimes I hardly have to replace it, but I find if he gets overtired at all, he wakes very frequently and I get exhausted constantly replacing it. What can I do in terms of sleep training if he has mild reflux?
Thanks!
