Annabel Karmel Recipes
« on: April 21, 2011, 19:50:35 pm »
I have lost my book, just ordered a new one. Its the 100 top purees, I used it with B and loved it. Anyways I have gone through all the basic fruit and veg and am now looking for something a bit more. Anyone got the book and care to rhyme off a few recipes just to get me through until the book comes?

I know, I know I should be ale to wing a few baby meals but I am TERRIBLE going it alone in the kitchen. Compulsive recipe follower even for baby food!!

I have the baby and toddler one.  Are you looking for single food purees or the mixed ones?

I've got the 100 purees one.  Chicken and sweet potato, chicken and mushroom....what do you fancy cooking?  Also like the mixed fruit ones.  Will send you some recipes if you know what you fancy :)

Maeves favourite was the spinach and sweet potato!! She also liked trio of broccoli, tomato and carrot (with cheese).

Have you started D on meat?  Or yogurt?  I can't remember when I started these things with M although I do know she wasnt so fussed on the single puree so we did move on pureed meals quite quickly.

I really feel a bit disorganised this time out.

Haven't started D on anything yet - waiting for 6 months - but did it with Callum.

Ok, See in the dark puree:

1 small onion
25g unsalted butter
450g carrots, chopped
350ml veg/chicken stock
60ml freshly squeezed orange juice

Saute the onion in the butter until softened.  Add the carrots and saute for 3-4 minutes.  Pour over the stock, bring to the boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for about 20 minutes or until the carrots are tender.  Add the orange juice and puree in a blender.

Makes 6 portions, suitable for freezing.

Is that ok to start with?  Can do another one tomorrow :)

I know!  Totally bonkers!  The first few months of Callum's life seemed to last an eternity and yet it's flying by for D.

LOL Shiv!!  ;D
