Rasberries OK for a 7.5 mo?

I have several jars of baby food people got for me that contain rasberries.  So far, I have avoided giving them to my 7.5 mo b/c I assumed they fell into the same category as strawberries and should be avoided until 12 mo.  Having said that, I gave DD1 all berries from 6m+ with no adverse reaction.

Do you all give rasberries to LO's this age (assuming no known allergies)?

I've not heard that strawberries should be avoided before 12 months, in fact, generally I think berries are fruits which can cause a reaction so care should be taken but I don't think they should be avoided completely. 

Why not try your LO having a berry as finger food then you can see clearly if there's a reaction?

My LO loves raspberries! She had them from very early on. I'd say give it a go, and worst case scenario, if she does develop a reaction then you'll know what it is!

Thanks ladies.  I will try them and see.  I am sure all will probably be well.  After all, DD1 didn't have any issues and a lot of these Stage 2 foods for 6+ months have strawberries and rasberries in them. 

I am surprised I am being so much more conservative with DD2 about foods.  Logic would indicate that you are more careful with your first, because you are so paranoid about everything, but I am finding that I am doing the opposite.
