Hiya,
No, no, I wish - this is a random thing that has happened the last two mornings because of horrid NWs. i.e. he goes back to sleep and then crashes out and I haven't woken him so he can catch up a bit. Yesterday he woke at 7.40 and today at 7.50. So I definitely didn't want to do much longer than 12hrs, especially as he did a mega am sleep after a 3.5hr A time.
Before this all started (though, to be fair, we've been having some NWs for a few weeks now), we were on roughly 13hr days. At least that way, and with a wakeup of 6.30-7, you can get two naps in.
Let me know how the short am long pm testing goes.
I am anticipating a bad night again. Worried that 2.25hrs A time isn't enough before bed. But then again, he'd only had 25mins sleep in the previous 6.25hrs, so maybe it will be ok. Watch this space...

I'm going to give short am/long pm nap a try instead.

That can defiantly help if you're getting ew as if they have a long am nap then they may just be trying to catch up on night sleep.
